About Asia Market
Located at 1549 Stowell Center Plz, Santa Maria, CA 93458, Asia Market operates as an asian grocery store serving Santa Maria in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Santa Maria with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in California may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 amβ7:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Asia Market at (805) 922-7973; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 91 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded asian grocery stores in Santa Maria.
Santa Maria is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Santa Maria follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The young girl that was working the counter was so sweet and helpful. She had a great personality and helped me find the Tobiko and Seaweed Salad I was looking for!!

Since moving to Lompoc from San Antonio, Iβve been looking for a grocery store with Korean ingredients. This store has many Korean pantry items, such as ssamjang, ramyeon, soy and sesame sauce, turtle and shrimp chips, and soy milks (banana, coffee, melon, taro, and strawberry), as well as some refrigerated items like kimchi and Korean rice cakes. I will continue to shop here when I plan to make Korean food ππ The only thing that could make this store better in my opinion would be grab and go gimbap

The market has a good variety of foodstuffs from different Asian countries. I recognized Filipino, Korean and Japanese products. Mostly packaged goods but some fresh and frozen as well. I found my favorite Tonkatsu sauce and Curry mix! Definitely Recommended!

In all fairness, I was looking for a specific fresh item, which they didn't have. In fact, they don't carry ANY fresh groceries at all. Consequently, I didn't spend any time looking around. But from what I saw, it looked more like a convenience store. The front area had a lot of normal products you'd find in any convenience store. The only Asian products I saw were snacks. The store is very small, so if you're looking for an Oriental grocery store, this would not be the place. (I asked if there were any other Asian markets nearby and the checkout clerk didn't know. It turns out there's another small store in the same strip mall that does have a small supply of fresh and frozen items.)

Went in looking for dashi (soup stock), and the gentleman behind the counter led me right to their selection. I was able to find some without MSG (yay)! I also found a good selection of mochi in one of their fridges. Yum! I'm so mad they're on my way home from work. I'll be sure to stop by more often.
